How to request a summary of earnings from IRD

A summary of earnings shows all income and PAYE tax paid from wages, salary, benefits or taxable pension income sources. A summary of earnings will be available from the IRD at the end of each financial year(1 April – 31 March). If you require a summary of earnings for calculating if you are due a tax refund, you must request it from the IRD as it is not always automatically send it out.

Requesting a summary of earnings is easy and only takes a couple of minutes. It can be done through the “myIR” system on the IRD website  - Request a summary of earnings

You will need to know your IRD number and which years you need a summary of earnings for.

      Hi John,

Yes it appeared the link was broken due to IRD implementing a new system called “myIR”. You will need to create an account then you will be able to request a Summary of Earnings. https://www1.e-services.ird.govt.nz/secure/login.html
